We are looking for a high-octane VP of Sales who thrives on the hunt. This isn’t a role for a spectator waiting for inbound. You will be the lead striker, leveraging your deep industry rolodex to close massive sponsorship and exhibitor deals. You aren’t building from a blank slate—you’re taking an existing playbook and making it elite. Your primary objective is to drive revenue through aggressive outbound strategy and sophisticated relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
- High-Value Closing: Directly lead the pursuit and closing of 6 and 7-figure partnership deals with “High-Qualified” companies.
- Consultative Selling: Move beyond the “booth” pitch. Design custom, high-value exhibition experiences that guarantee ROI for partners (e.g., curated matchmaking, side-event hosting, or stage takeovers).
- Account Growth: Transform one-off sponsors into multi-year “Global Partners,” increasing their lifetime value and commitment to PEAK.
- Quality Control: Act as the gatekeeper. Ensure every exhibitor adds value to our attendees, maintaining a standard while maximizing revenue.
- Commercial Infrastructure: Refine our CRM and pipeline processes to ensure a seamless and effective sales experience.
Who You Are
- The Outbound Specialist: You view “100% outbound” as an opportunity, not a hurdle. You have a proven track record of opening doors that stay closed to everyone else.
- Strategic Architect: You understand that selling a $100k+ sponsorship requires more than a pitch deck; it requires a deep understanding of a partner’s ROI and business objectives.
- Disciplined Leader: You lead by example. You aren’t afraid to get into the weeds of a CRM or a contract to show your team how it’s done.
- Automations Expert: You lean on a variety of tools and AI to supercharge your output.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years in B2B sales, specifically within Sports, Tech, or conference and exhibitions.
- Time Zone: Must be able to operate effectively across PST to EST hours to cover our core markets.
- Track Record: Proven history of hitting and exceeding seven-figure quotas through individual performance.
- Tech Savvy: You have preferred tools for data enrichment, mailmerges, automated linkedin campaigns and constantly query your favourite AI chatbot for sales angles and research.
- Bonus Points: Proven success in high-value sponsorship/exhibitor sales and/or with a deep fluency in the global SportsTech landscape.
